About LEGO Club:

Where : Crossman community centre

When: Saturdays 1:30pm-3:30pm (Jun 29-Aug 17)

Age Range: 6+ (members over 12 considered on a case-by-case basis)

Price: 10$ per session, 45$ for all 5 remaining sessions.

Pay-what-you-can option is available if needed.

Drop Ins:

Your child may 'drop in' to any session that is open for 15$ per night. Please check this page for updates on which sessions are still open.

More Details:

- LEGO Prizes given every week to participants (members guaranteed to win at least once)

- Extra activities available (books, coloring pages, puzzles, mazes, etc)

- Members will receive a LEGO gift and certificate at their final visit

- Members can bring a friend for one free session (subject to availability)

- Parents are welcome to join for the last half hour of LEGO club each week (from 3:00-3:30)

- Welcoming environment for all children (view FAQ for more details)

 

To be considered a member, a child must participate in at least 4 sessions.

Theme: LEGO icebreakers

Icebreaker games as well as advanced building tips and tricks: Interlocking bricks, plate use, stability, curving, etc.

 

Date : July 6

Room: HLS Room

Theme: Mega Building

Building things as tall or big as possible, including a giant LEGO person.

 

 

Date : July 13

Room: Smyth Room

Theme: Sets, Puzzles, and moving parts

Pre-made sets including cars, dragons, LEGO puzzles, mini figures

We will also be doing our Moving Parts theme this week.

Using motors, remote controls, and LEGO circuitry

 

July 20

Room: HLS Room

Theme: Stop Motion videos

Write, plan and shoot your own LEGO movie and more!

 

July 27 [closed]

Theme: Messy day

Using LEGO with play dough and slime

 

August 3 [closed]

Theme: Moving Parts

Using motors, robots, remote controls, and LEGO circuitry

 

August 10

Room: HLS Room

Theme: Landscapes and Messy Day

Build mountains, volcanoes, oceans, valleys, and forests using LEGO and other materials

(baking soda/vinegar, water and sand!)

We will also be doing our Messy day this week.

 

August 17

Room: HLS Room

Theme: LEGO Party

Cake, music, free-building, kids will be able to use their favorite materials from previous weeks
